Sam Coulter pleads not guilty to assault, assault with intent to rob

A Clarence Valley man charged with an alleged assault with the intent to rob has indicated he will fight the charges in court.

A Clarence Valley man has fronted court as police allege he was involved in an assault with the intent to rob the complainant.

Harwood man Sam Coulter, 22, pleaded not guilty to charges of assault with intent to rob, common assault and intimidation at Maclean Local Court on Thursday, September 15.

Police will allege Coulter was involved in an incident at Yamba between 8.54pm and 9pm on July 14.

The matter will go to a hearing, and is listed for a police mention on October 27 before Maclean Local Court.

Coulter will remain on bail, which was granted to him on September 5.
