Heartbreak High star Putu Winchester pleads not guilty to 673g cocaine supply

An Aussie soapie star — who has had roles on Home and Away, Water Rats and Heartbreak High — will go to trial over allegations he was involved in dealing 670g of cocaine at Byron Bay.

A former Home And Away actor has revealed plans to fight allegations he was involved in supplying 673.67g of cocaine in the Northern Rivers.

Putu Sugiarta Winchester-Stanton, 45, pleaded not guilty in Lismore District Court on Monday to two counts of knowingly taking part in the supply of an illegal drug.

The first charge relates to allegedly supplying 476g of cocaine, and the second charge for supplying 197.67g of cocaine.

Winchester-Stanton was one of seven men arrested after police raided homes across the NSW far north coast on April 22, 2021.

Police carried out four search warrants at homes in Byron Bay, Bangalow and Mullumbimby and a Byron Bay business.

Judge Jeffery McLennan set the date of Winchester-Stanton’s trial on July 24, 2023, which is expected to last five days.

The accused remains on bail.
