Two teenagers who were allegedly pelting passing buses with rocks in Northern NSW got more than they bargained for when a driver pulled over and faced the boys.
But the driver himself was then set upon in the middle of a road - in broad daylight as a busload of schoolchildren watched on.
Video of the incident at Goonellabah on November 7 has emerged, and it shows the driver and one of the boys wrestling on the pavement.
At one point a second boy is seen to race in and allegedly kick the driver in the head.
One of the teens has been arrested and is due to face Children’s Court on December 9.
As the skirmish rolled on a number of children can be seen pouring off the bus.
Parents are now organising car pooling and other alternatives; too scared to have their children catch buses through this particular part of town.
Richmond Police have confirmed the bus driver has not been charged.
