A manhunt is under way for a machete-wielding attacker after a man was slashed repeatedly in a vicious attack at a northern New South Wales home.
Police state at about 6.50pm on Monday night, a man stormed a Casino address and starting arguing with one of the men, who was inside with several occupants.
The two men continued arguing in the front yard before the alleged attacker produced a machete and slashed the 45-year-old occupant across the legs and arms.
“The victim sustained a deep laceration to his left upper leg and a smaller laceration to his left arm,” a Richmond Police District spokesman said.
Paramedics rushed the victim to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable but serious condition for further treatment and surgery.
Detectives established a crime scene and have launched a probe into the incident.
