A man is in critical condition after his mountain bike trek went bad on the North Coast on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to Cape Byron Farm, Bangalow Road around 9.45am after reports a man had come off his mountain bike and collided with a tree.
NSW Ambulance crews arrived and treated a man in his 60s for head and spinal injuries.
They were assisted by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to stabilise the man who was then flown to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a critical condition.
