A large subdivision worth around $1.4 million will ease housing stress in Lismore and Goonellabah after getting the green light from council.
The development application was lodged with Lismore City Council in September last year by GM Project Development and Management.
Council has now determined the project, enabling the developers to undertake a staged subdivision over two land areas at the bottom of Northcott Drive.
Works will create 19 residential lots and one residual lot and associated public road (cul-de-sac), bulk earthworks, retaining walls, infrastructure services, civil works, vegetation removal and revegetation works.
The consent approves the subdivision of the subject land only and does not approve the erection of any dwellings on the proposed lots at this time.
The developer, GM Project Development and Management, will need to meet Lismore council’s 71 conditions for the two-stage project along with five general terms of approval.
Lismore council will receive $444,770.60 from the developer for levies associated with the project.
GM Project Development and Management were contacted for comment.
