Fatal crash at Tooloom Rd, Urbenville

A man in his 40s has tragically died after a crash near Urbenville with another driver arrested, allegedly returning a positive breath test.

A man has tragically died after a two-vehicle crash west of Kyogle.

Emergency services were called to Tooloom Rd, near Urbenville Road at Urbenville about 8.30pm on Monday following reports two vehicles had collided.

On arrival, NSW Ambulance paramedics located the driver of a Holden sedan suffering serious injuries and despite their efforts, he could not be revived and died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged 41, according to NSW Police Media.

Richmond Police District officers established a crime scene.

The 60-year-old male driver of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.

He was subjected to a roadside breath test and allegedly returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Lismore Base Hospital for mandatory testing.

Inquiries continue.
