Five new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the Tweed, Kyogle and Clarence Valley areas in the 24 hours to 8pm October 21.

Two cases are in the Tweed area, and both are linked to a previously reported case.

Lynne Weir, acting chief executive of the Northern NSW Local Health District, confirmed the new Tweed cases are under investigation to determine any possible public venues of concern.

Two other new cases are in the Kyogle local government area and both are linked to previously reported cases.

They have been in isolation throughout their infectious period.

One case is in the Clarence Valley and is a household contact of a previously reported case that has been in isolation while infectious.

There have now been a total of 111 cases reported in the Northern NSW Local Health District since the Delta outbreak began in Sydney on June 16.

Of those 111 cases, two are being cared for in hospital and one of them remains in intensive care.

Ms Weir said the South Grafton Drive Through testing clinic at Hawthorne Park was open on Friday until 3pm, closed on Saturday and Sunday, and would re-open at 9am on Monday, October 25.

The Grafton Base Hospital testing clinic is open seven days a week from 9am – 5pm.
