LISMORE Council's finances took a dive for the September quarter, showing a net operating result deficit of $1.58 million to the year ending December 31.
The bottom line had been showing a $24,800 surplus as of September 30.
The council's finance director Rino Santin said the blow-out was not due to spending, but to a spreadsheet error and depreciation.
