Compost, landfill and pet rocks all at the Lismore Show

IF YOU want to know what compost, landfill and pet rocks have in common, make your way to the Lismore City Council’s exhibit at the North Coast National.

IF YOU want to know what compost, landfill and pet rocks have in common, you should make your way to the Lismore City Council's exhibit at the North Coast National.

The council will have a number of things on display, including talks about landfill, compost, tourism and activities for children, such as badge-making and pet rock making.

The Lismore City Council Waste and Water Education Officer Danielle Hanigan saw the show as a great opportunity to connect to the community and to talk about what it is council does.

"This is Lismore's showcase event for the city," she said. "It is important that council supports it and engages with the community.

"It is a great opportunity for council council to engage with the community and talk about some of our current projects."
