Council on show at Nth Coast National

LISMORE City Council’s display area is opposite Lismore Showground’s main gate and people are welcome to visit anytime over the three days of the show.

THERE are two simple ways you can be sure to get people's attention - chocolate and free stuff.

In a stroke of bureaucratic genius, Lismore City Council is employing both in the one novelty game at this year's North Coast National with a 'spin and win' chocolate wheel.

The Wheel of Fortune style game is simple - check out the council display and then spin the wheel and answer a simple question to win.

There are loads of prizes including vouchers donated by local businesses, products from across all council areas and lots more.

There's also a rainwater tank to give away, free 'Come to the Heart' face painting for kids every day and information on the Imagine Lismore project. Staff will be on hand to answer questions about infrastructure projects and services provided by Council plus you can meet and chat to your elected representatives in person over a cuppa.

1. Morning tea with the councillors - come and have a cuppa with your newly-elected representatives at 10.30am Thursday, October 18.
2. Schools Water Challenge Awards ceremony - presented by Lismore mayor Jenny Dowell at 11am Friday, October 19.
3. Health and nutrition assessments with the Move2Change crew.
4. Free 'Come to the heart' face painting.
5. Duraplas rainwater tank competition - don't miss your chance to enter the draw and win a rainwater tank.
