Paramedics were called to Byron Bay just after 2am on Saturday, January 1, to reports a person had fallen six metres from a tree at Hinterland Way, Ewingsdale.

Six NSW Ambulance crews, including the critical care paramedics and doctors attended.

The NSW Ambulance spokesman said between 12-4am on New Year’s Day is the busiest time of the year for paramedics as he asked the community to save a triple-0 call for serious accidents.
