NRMA launches car rental brand Sixt in Northern NSW

The new player in the market will offer compacts, SUVs, premium and electric vehicles, utes, vans and trucks to rent.

A new car rental brand has been launched in Northern NSW, with 15 locations to open soon across the area.

The NRMA represents and is expanding the Sixt brand in NSW.

Sixt is an international vehicle hire brand, originally from Germany, with a global fleet of more than 280,000 vehicles across more than 2,100 locations in 110 countries.

It offers rental of compacts, SUVs, premium and electric vehicles, utes, vans and trucks.

The brand will operate in these North Coast locations:

  • Ballina – 2/210 Southern Cross Drive
  • Ballina Airport – Terminal Building
  • Byron Bay – 16 Banksia Drive
  • Casino – 5 Second Avenue
  • Coffs Harbour Airport – Terminal Building
  • Coffs Harbour City – Corner of Pacific Highway and Marcia Street
  • Forster – 1/6 Commerce Court
  • Grafton – 1/45 Villiers Street
  • Grafton Airport – Terminal Building
  • Kempsey – 5-27 Nance Road
  • Murwillumbah – 36 Durrington Street
  • Port Macquarie – 101 Hastings Drive
  • Port Macquarie Airport – Terminal Building
  • Lismore – 25 Krauss Avenue
  • Yamba – 3 Yamba Road

Sixt Managing Director Matt Beattie said the company’s deep local area expertise in vehicle rental would help them provide the best possible service to the Northern NSW communities.

“The launch of Sixt in NSW will ensure the future of car and truck rentals in the region keep pace with the innovation we’re starting to see in capital cities,” he said.

“The expansion of Sixt represents a refresh of the industry in Australia and we are committed to building on our local knowledge and unique customer service experience built up over years of being part of the local community.”

The NRMA is planning to convert half of its 16,000 nationwide rental fleet to electric within five years.
