Getting council approval to open Two Mates Brewing in South Lismore in February, the owners have been working hard to get their taps flowing.
In late April, it was revealed they were very close to revealing an opening date for the 7 Engine St premises.
The boutique brewery plans to turn the dilapidated rail yard into a community hub with live music, local produce and, of course, beer.
While technically residing in Goonellabah, this service station expansion holds great potential for Lismore residents.
The $350,000 expansion would see The Station Grocer servo, on 753 Ballina Road, transform its existing car wash, service station and workshop with an extensive kitchen fit out.
According to plans, the renovations would include an espresso machine, hot and cold food display, new ovens, cook tops and more.

Swifty’s Fresh Iluka Seafood has been operating at markets in our region for over ten years but now owner Michael Swift wants to transform a former dance studio into his new hub.
The Keen Street spot, opposite the BCC Cinemas, would help “bring people to Lismore by enhancing its retail options”, according to the owner.
Major renovations include removing the timber floors and adding signage.
