Bryce Marchant charged with sexual intercourse without consent at Lismore

Bryce Marchant will remain on bail after being charged over an alleged incident at East Lismore.

A man charged with having sex with a woman without consent will remain at liberty after a bail review in the Lismore Local Court.

Police will allege that Bryce Marchant, 22, raped a woman in East Lismore on June 25.

The Queenslander was arrested on July 14 and charged by Ballina police with having sexual intercourse with a woman without consent.

Magistrate Jeff Linden outlined the bail conditions to Marchant on August 16, which include that he reside at his Bowen Hills address, not interact with the complainant, and be of good behaviour.

Marchant is to appear before Lismore Local Court for a brief status mention on September 28.

No plea has been entered.
