Ballina bushfire: Fire crews respond to blaze near highway
Fire crews have rushed to a bushfire burning near the Pacific Highway at Ballina.

Emergency services have received multiple reports of a bushfire near the Pacific Highway in West Ballina.
A Fire and Rescue NSW spokesman said they had a crew responding to the scene, near the BP service centre.
He said the Rural Fire Service had also been called to the incident.
The first report of the blaze came through to emergency services shortly after 12.30pm, he said.
It is understood firefighters have just arrived at the scene.
