Miracle burns survivor and mum-to-be Sophie Delezio, who is due to give birth in September, has revealed the gender of her first child.

Miracle burns survivor and mum-to-be Sophie Delezio has revealed she is expecting a baby boy.

Delezio, who is expecting her first child with fiance Joseph Salerno, shared a video clip from her baby shower held over the weekend to announce the news.

The clip showed Delezio and Salerno peering through a doorway before setting off blue confetti poppers stepping forward to reveal matching blue outfits, before dancing around in the confetti.

“It’s a boy,” Delezio captioned the post on Instagram.

“We can’t wait to welcome you to the world little man.”

Delezio, who is due to give birth in September, first shared her pregnancy news on social media in April with a photo of herself, Salerno and her growing belly.

Now 23, Delezio first captured Australians’ hearts aged just two after miraculously surviving becoming trapped under a burning car that had crashed into her Sydney childcare centre in 2003.

She suffered burns to 85 per cent of her body and lost both her feet, some fingers and her right ear, before tragedy struck again when Delezio was hit by a car and flung 18 metres as she crossed a pedestrian crossing in her wheelchair in 2006.
