A woman has been taken to hospital after crashing through a closed garage door at the Treelands Drive Caltex in Yamba this morning.

According to Fire Rescue Station 510 Yamba, their crew, along with police and ambulance were called to the service station after the woman accidentally accelerated crashing through a closed garage door.

Her car collided with a car that was inside the garage at the time.

The woman reportedly suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital by the ambulance in attendance.

Fire crews cleaned up a small oil spill on the scene, and declared the scene safe shortly after according to their post.
