Thomas O’Reilly: South Grafton man charged with rape
A North Coast man has been charged with entering a woman’s home and raping her. Police allege they found him armed with five knives and a scalpel the next morning.

A Clarence Valley man has been charged with entering the home of a woman and raping her, with police claiming he was armed with five knives and a scalpel when they found him.
South Grafton man Thomas O’Reilly, 31, did not appear at Grafton Local Court when his case was mentioned on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old has been charged with sexual intercourse without consent, possessing a prohibited drug, carrying cutting weapons, entering enclosed lands without a lawful excuse and entering a home with intent.
O’Reilly has not yet entered any pleas to the allegations.
Police allege O’Reilly entered the Clarence home of his alleged victim between 6pm and 7pm on August 23.
It’s alleged O’Reilly raped the resident and was busted with the array of knives and the extremely sharp medical tool when he was arrested just after 9.30am the next morning.
Police allege O’Reilly was found with an amount of cannabis leaf.
Defence lawyer Brett Marshall did not apply for bail.
O’Reilly is due to face the court again on October 23.
