Grafton fatal crash: Pedestrian dies after being hit crossing street
A pedestrian flown to hospital with serious head injuries after a collision with a car on Saturday night has died.

An elderly pedestrian flown to hospital with serious head injuries after a collision with a car in Grafton on Saturday night has died.
Emergency services responded to reports a car had hit a pedestrian on Oliver Street, Grafton just before 8pm on Saturday.
The crash happened near the intersection with Mary Street.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 71-year-old man at the scene and then took him to Grafton Base Hospital.
He was flown to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition where he later died.
The driver of the vehicle – a 58-year-old woman – was uninjured and taken to Grafton Base Hospital for mandatory testing. She is helping police with inquiries.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident is urged to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
