Gwydir Highway, Eatonsville: Two women, man and boy injured after car crashed into parked truck near Grafton

A woman has suffered serious internal injuries, another has a broken collarbone and two more people have also been hurt after their car careened into a truck near Grafton in northern NSW.

A woman has suffered serious internal injuries and three other people have also been hurt after their car crashed into a parked truck near Grafton in northern NSW.

Emergency services were called to the Gwydir Highway near Eatonsville, about 20 kilometres west of Grafton, after the car hit the truck just before midday on Sunday.

Police found a 55-year-old woman, who was the driver, suffering from a fractured collarbone, among other injuries. She was flown to Lismore Base Hospital.

A 55-year-old woman, the front seat passenger, was flown to Gold Coast University Hospital suffering from the internal injuries.

Meanwhile, a 63-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy who had been travelling in the back seat were taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital with minor injuries.

The truck was not occupied at the time of the crash.

Police set up a crime scene and investigations are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
