CURRENT COVID RESTRICTIONS

There have been 20 new cases from 67,000 tests in NSW in the past 24 hours. Over the past seven days the state has recorded 145 cases from 320,141 tests. There has not yet been any recorded cases in any LGAs on the North Coast. Queensland reported two new locally acquired cases on Tuesday, and many parts of the state including the South East Queensland are currently under a three-day lockdown until 6pm Friday, July 2.

Due to a rise in cases, the following restrictions are in place for NSW, including the Clarence Valley region:

  • People who have been in the Greater Sydney region (including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong) on or after June 21 should follow the stay-at-home orders for a period of 14 days after they left Greater Sydney.
  • Visitors to households are limited to 5 guests – including children;
  • Masks are compulsory in all indoor non-residential settings, including workplaces, and at organised outdoor events;
  • Drinking while standing at indoor venues not allowed;
  • Singing by audiences and choirs at indoor venues or by congregants at indoor places of worship not allowed;
  • Dancing not be allowed at indoor hospitality venues or nightclubs. However, dancing is allowed at weddings for the wedding party only (no more than 20 people);
  • Dance and gym classes limited to 20 per class (masks must be worn);
  • The one person per four square metre rule reintroduced for all indoor and outdoor settings, including weddings and funerals;
  • Outdoor seated, ticketed events limited to 50 per cent seated capacity.

Late of the Whiddon Group Grafton, passed away on 28th June, 2021, aged 94 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Marie’s funeral service to be held at the Uniting Church, Prince Street, Grafton on Friday, 2nd July, commencing at 11am. The funeral will proceed to the Clarence Lawn Cemetery. Covid restrictions will apply with limited seating inside the church.

Late of South Grafton. Passed away 25th June 2021. Aged 75 years. Relatives and friends of Norm are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service to be held at Pullen Chapel, 3-7 Prince St, Grafton on Friday, July 2 commencing at 2pm.

Sue Holley (nee Wass)
Of Yamba, passed away unexpectedly on 16th June, 2021. Aged 76 years. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a funeral service for Sue to be held at Christ Church Cathedral, Duke Street, Grafton on Wednesday, 30th June. Requiem Mass commencing at 12 noon. A private cremattion will follow. Covid restrictions will apply.
