THE POLICEMAN son of conservative shock jock Ray Hadley wants drug charges against him dropped on mental illness grounds.
Daniel Hadley resigned from the force last month after he was allegedly caught buying cocaine at a pub carpark in Sydney’s north west.
The 28-year-old’s lawyer Madeline Walsh flagged an application to have his drug possession charge dismissed at Parramatta Local Court, where Hadley was not required to appear on Wednesday.

The former senior constable was off duty when he was allegedly caught in possession of 0.66 grams of cocaine at the Australian Hotel and Brewery in Rouse Hill on August 3.
A police officer for seven years, Daniel Hadley’s future with the force was placed under review and he was admitted to a mental health clinic after being granted bail.
At the time 2GB broadcaster Ray Hadley broke down in tears at a media conference, saying he felt inadequate as a father for not realising his son was struggling with his mental health.
When Magistrate Brett Shields asked why there was so much media attention on the case, Ms Walsh said “because of who his father is”.
“Oh, the radio guy,” the magistrate replied.
Daniel Hadley will face a hearing for the application on December 12.
His alleged drug dealer, Shaquillie Sione Vaisiqine Laf Moubayed fronted court on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old Seven Hills man is charged with drug supply and possession and having goods in personal custody suspected of being unlawfully obtained.
Shortly after police netted Hadley, Moubayed was also arrested nearby in Kellyville around 8pm allegedly with 7.5g of cocaine and a wad of $500 in cash.
His matter was adjourned until October 24
