Not that we needed proof, but now we have it – our locale really is one of the most enviable places in the nation to holiday.
Two of City of Coffs Harbour’s holiday parks have won three national BIG4 awards between them, and both are performing above state and national standards.
Sawtell Beach and Park Beach holiday parks, run by the council as Crown land managers, have been recognised in the BIG4 awards, which analyse park customer reviews across platforms like Google, Facebook, and online travel agents.
BIG4 Sawtell Beach Holiday Park won the Customer Service Excellence Award. It also won a performance award, along with Coffs Harbour’s Park Beach Holiday Park.
City of Coffs Harbour business services director Steve Bayliss said the parks, along with two others at Woolgoolga, were all trading strongly.
“The Coffs Coast Holiday Parks far exceed state and national industry standards, with cabin occupancy rates well above the national average of 69 per cent and site occupancy rates above the national average of 50 per cent,” he said.
So, is it time you and yours had a staycation these upcoming holidays? Mayor Nikki Williams certainly thinks so.
“We have these amazing little villages and it’s a great idea to be able to go and have a little weekender in your own backyard,” she said.
