List of outstanding resolutions published on Coffs Harbour City Council website

A list of Council resolutions which have not been finalised has been revealed. Some go back as far as 2017.

A list of outstanding resolutions has been added to Coffs Harbour City Council’s website.

The tab was added this week, around the same time Cr Sally Townley raised it as a notice of motion prior to Thursday’s council meeting.

She said the timing was an “interesting coincidence” and that the list does not paint a healthy picture.

“Some projects are delayed from things beyond Council‘s control but there are still a lot of resolutions yet to be enacted, which is disappointing,” Cr Townley said.

“I encourage the community to have a look at this register now that it has been made public.”

Some of the items on the list go back as far as 2017:

June 8, 2017 - Elbow Street Car park

- Resolution That Council bring back a report on the cost of building a multi-level car park in the existing Elbow Street car park. That the report include all available information regarding parking in the CBD.

- Status In progress, due November 25, 2021.

November 9, 2017 - Flooding risks in the Combine/Azalea Ave precinct and Middle/Chinamans Creek area

- Resolution - That Council prepare a report with projected costings to rectify the major flooding risks to residents in these areas in Coffs and Sawtell. That council also prepare a report and costings on the flooding issues associated with Gundagai Street, Marcia Street and Bray Street areas.

- Status - In Progress, due March 31, 2022

March 26, 2020 - Moonee Beach Estate ‐ Access and Funding

Resolution - That Council allocates $75k to investigate options for additional access to the proposed new estate at Moonee Beach north. The funding to be allocated from the 20/21 road infrastructure budget.

Status - In progress, due June 30 2022

May 14, 2020 Update on the Jetty Structure Condition

Resolution - That Council progress plans for renewal of the Jetty including a detailed design ready for construction, cost estimates, heritage approvals and heritage documentation. Support the application for funds from State and Federal Government Agencies.

Status - In progress, due December 31, 2021.

July 12, 2018 - Dump points for recreational vehicles

Resolution - That Council receive a report from staff in regard to the current situation as it relates to dump points for recreational vehicles with the report providing information including: the current availability of dump points; any additional locations that could be suitable for dump points; any source of funding; and council consider declaring Coffs Harbour an RV friendly town.

Status - In progress, due October 30, 2021.
