Influencer Sarah Mills – among the stars in Coffs Harbour court on Subway assault charges

A controversial Coffs Harbour identity has found herself in court in relation to an alleged incident at Subway during the height of the pandemic last year. See what sparked the charges.

A controversial Coffs Harbour figure has found herself before the court in relation to an alleged incident at Subway during the height of the Covid pandemic last year.

Sarah Mills has 289,600 followers on TikTok and recently shared a series of three videos giving her version of events at the Coffs Harbour fast food outlet on August 1 last year.

The mother-of-three took to Facebook asking her 6400 followers for help to fund her legal battle.

On October 5 she posted: ‘UPDATE! Please don’t donate!! We have been blessed with a solicitor stepping up to take this on! Samir Banga has reached out and my head is still spinning. For the first time in months, I feel like I can breathe.”

Documents tendered to the court confirm that Mr Banga from the Sydney-based law firm Banga Legal has taken on the case.

Mills has been charged with stalk and intimidate and common assault in relation to an alleged incident at Subway and is pleading not guilty.

Known as ‘Sarah Mills -among the stars’ on various social media platforms, she has shared her strong views on government responses to the pandemic, the floods and the issue of homelessness.

During the height of the Covid pandemic her posts attracted worldwide media attention.

The 36-year-old also has a strong following on Instagram with 11,600 followers and has documented her experiences breast feeding her son for ‘six years and two days’.

Mills also travelled to flood impacted communities on the Northern Rivers in March and shared a number of strongly worded videos urging more action to be taken.

The case has been adjourned to November 10.
