A Bellingen man is facing several charges including possessing child abuse material and importing a prohibited sex doll.

Erran Lavender sat quietly in a blue check shirt at the back of the Coffs Harbour Local Court when his matter was brought before Magistrate Ian Rodgers on Tuesday, October 25.

Coffs Harbour lawyer Kinloch Oliver is representing the 23-year-old who has not formally entered a plea.

The six charges include two counts of possessing child abuse material, two charges of using a carriage service to access child abuse material and two charges of importing what’s known as a ‘tier two good’ – in this case a sex doll.

The alleged offences occurred between March and October of last year in Bellingen.

Lavender has been on bail since March 14.

The case was adjourned to November 15.
