A Coffs Coast man on the child protection register has admitted to having almost 150 images depicting child abuse.
Daniel Lee Fraser, 49, appeared in Coffs Harbour Local Court in December where he pleaded guilty to possessing child abuse material and failing to comply with NSW Child Protection Register reporting obligations.
Fraser has pleaded not guilty to a third offence of giving false information when police were trying to access his laptop as part of their ongoing monitoring of his behaviour.
Police allege this offending took place between August 14 and 23, 2024.
The 49-year-old from Upper Orara had about 147 child abuse images on a digital device according to court documents.
Police detected the offending images on the morning of August 14 this year.
He failed to comply with his reporting obligations between May 28 and June 4, 2023.
The case has been adjourned to May 12.
