There is a school in Coffs Harbour for students who are bullied, neurodiverse or living with anxiety or depression; for them every school year can be challenging.

With disruption to learning and lifestyle, 2021 proved demanding for students on the Coffs Coast.

Celebrating diversity and inclusivity, Allegra School Coffs Harbour is a small school in the heart of the city.

It offers extra support and an adult environment for students in Years 9 and 10 who may have found it difficult learning or socialising in mainstream educational models.

It was smiles all round when the Allegra School Year 10 graduates held a luncheon in the Botanic Garden recently.

They were recognised for their achievements and congratulated on their solidarity and cheerfulness during such a trying 12 months.

“The resilience and adaptability of our students to work with whatever challenge is thrown at them is admirable,” principal Erin Caceda said.

“It’s always sad to see our Year 10 cohort transition to further education, or the workforce, but we can see they are ready for this monumental step in their life, and I really do wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours.”
