Jaaden Abraham, 30, tragically dies in Gold Coast hospital after e-bike crash at Byron Bay
A much-loved tradie has sadly died in a Gold Coast hospital after crashing an e-bike and suffering “catastrophic brain injuries” at Byron Bay on the North Coast.

Popular Byron Bay tradie Jaaden Abraham has tragically died in hospital after crashing an e-bike and suffering “catastrophic brain injuries” in the busy North Coast town.
Emergency services were called to Ewingsdale Rd after the 30-year-old crashed his e-bike about 7.30pm on April 13.
Mr Abraham was flown to Gold Coast Hospital for treatment, but tragically died on April 18.
Police released a statement on Mr Abraham’s death overnight Monday.
There were no other vehicles involved in the crash. Police have been investigating whether Mr Abraham was wearing a helmet.
Lachlan Jones, pastor of The Gathering Church at Tweed Heads, was keeping the community up to date with hospital updates through social media, Facebook, on behalf of Mr Abraham’s family
Mr Jones shared their grief and shock at how far afield the tragedy had been felt.
“As a family we are so blown away at the impact and reach this tragedy has had around the world,” Mr Jones wrote.
“To know thousands and thousands of people have been praying and believing for Jaaden to be healed has been overwhelmingly beautiful.
“To all those who sat in the waiting room, visited, messaged, called, cooked meals, helped with our kids and homes, we say thank you.
“To those two first responders to the scene of the accident who kept Jaaden alive for ambos to arrive and air lift him to GC, thank you for your bravery and care.
“Now we will begin the journey of planning Jaaden’s celebration service. And trust me, it will be a celebration, just the way Jaaden would have loved it.
“Thank you for being the larger than life, loving person you were. We will see you again.”
It’s understood Mr Abraham suffered “unsurvivable” and “catastrophic brain injuries” when he crashed the e-bike, Mr Jones said.
A Celebration Service for Mr Abraham is due to be held at The Gathering Church, Tweed Heads on May 1 from 1pm to 3pm.
The company Mr Abraham worked for, Blaze Projects, took to Facebook to express their sadness.
“Our dear friend and colleague, Jaaden Abraham, tragically passed away … for those that had the great honour of knowing Jaaden know what an amazingly vibrant, energetic, passionate human he was with an infectious personality that was impossible not to love,” the post reads.
“Jaaden was the life of the party and was always so much fun to be around either at work, at home with his family or having a beer at the pub.
“We are all absolutely devastated to lose such an incredible friend so suddenly. Rest in peace Jaaden. We will miss you mate.”
Mr Abraham was also a boxer for Dragon Fire Boxing, who called him “an all round top bloke” and said he will “be missed but never forgotten”.
The Dopamine Run Club ran to remember Mr Abraham at Byron Bay on Sunday.
