A swanky $5 million mixed-use commercial and residential development featuring apartments and retailers has been approved for Byron Bay’s laid-back cousin – Brunswick Heads.
The 251 sqm complex on 9 Fingal St will house two shops on ground level and four three-bedroom apartments above.
Planner Steve Connelly cited “strong demand” for commercial premises and shop-top housing within Brunswick Heads, which is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after townships in the Northern Rivers.
The two retailers opening hours are proposed to be from 7am to 8pm with an additional bolthole style cafe operating between 7am to 6pm in a rear laneway.
Parking will include eight residential spaces, a visitor space, two accessible parks and six parks for the shops – along with a loading zone.
The site is located one minute’s walk from the Brunswick Heads Post Office and a stone’s throw from the town’s main retail and dining precinct.
Residents can find out more on the Byron Shire Council’s website.
