OPINION: Kudos to online bloggers talk about the real world

SOMETIMES they swear. Sometimes they share dark stories about their lives. But they have one thing in common - they talk about living in the real world.

SOMETIMES they swear.

Sometimes they bitch and moan.

Sometimes they share deep and dark stories about their lives.

But they have one thing in common - they talk about living in the real world.

I'm talking about online bloggers.

They are keeping us (readers/followers) grounded by talking about the everyday battlers they encounter. And kudos to them! There are not many people in this world that have the courage to tell their stories, let alone tell them as real as they possibly can, including the swear words and name calling.

Constance Hall is a former Big Brother contestant, now married with four children including twin toddlers.

She also battles with anxiety attacks.

Constance is bringing light to the fact that you don't need to be a perfect mother. In fact, the general theme about motherhood that Constance writes about is how crappy it can be having to be a stay-at-home mother to four children.

Unfortunately, her husband Bill cops a lot of flack. Almost as much as her twins who never leave her alone.

Constance has gained international attention, including being interviewed over the internet by Ellen DeGeneres for Ellen Tube, and has over 450,000 followers on Facebook.

There is also an Adelaide university student named Jeremy who writes about his battles with mental illness - borderline personality disorder.

His Facebook blog "The Out of the Box Project" is followed by over 9,500 people.

Jeremy's blog provides great insight to the daily battles of people living with mental illnesses, talking about the crazy illogical anxiety attacks, the fight with the Black Dog (depression), the exhaustion that comes with the fights, and emotional eating.

Jeremy also shares his stories of having a psychiatric service dog named Frankfurt.

But Constance and Jeremy don't just talk about the doom and gloom side of their lives. They also promote the positive, good times such as volunteer work with animals, or being able to have five minutes peace in your own home.

Ok, I admit. Constance could write a few more positive posts (other than cheering on her fellow Queens aka followers). But at the end of the day, both Constance and Jeremy's blogs are doing what they are meant to - shining light on matters that are not generally discussed in society.

Bravo Constance and Jeremy!
