The body of a man has been pulled from a popular waterway on the Queensland-New South Wales border.
Police and other emergency services were called to Jack Evans Boat Harbour at Tweed Heads after the body was spotted in the water about 6.15am on Tuesday.
Marine Area Command police divers and Tweed-Byron Police District officers removed the body from the water.
The body has since been identified as a man aged in his 60s.
A NSW Police spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
The spokesman said no one reported seeing the man enter the water, and a missing persons report had not been filed.
The harbour is popular with scuba divers, snorkellers and tourists and was recently subject to a multimillion-dollar upgrade by Tweed Shire Council.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
