Ballina Kmart break-in, three charged

An 18-year-old and two 12-year-olds will face court after a police search allegedly located a large quantity of clothing.

Three people - including two 12-year-old boys - have been charged with breaking and entering offences related to an incident at Ballina Kmart.

Police were notified that entry was gained to the store at Ballina Fair Shopping Centre at about 11pm on Friday, September 16.

Following an investigation by local police, police executed a search warrant at a central Ballina address at about 1pm on September 19.

Officers allegedly found a large quantity of clothing items, goods and packaging which police believe were taken from the store.

Two 12-year-old boys from Ballina are each charged with two counts of aggravated break, enter and steal and are to face Children’s Court on October 28.

An 18-year-old man from Ballina was charged with aggravated break, enter and steal. He is to appear at Ballina Local Court on October 13.
