Annette Sharp: John Singleton hires Michelle Leslie to revamp latest home

John Singleton has hired Michelle Leslie once again to revamp the redundant love nest he bought just prior to his short-lived seventh marriage, writes Annette Sharp.

There was heartbreak and disappointment all around in February when John Singleton’s seventh marriage crashed and burned.

Singo, his bride of seven months Sarah Warry, their respective kids from a collection of failed former marriages, their confounded friends; none could make sense of the breakneck relationship.

In every direction — from the Gosford community radio station where Warry’s star had been on the rise prior to her giddy romance with the radio station patron, to Mt White where the businessman held what looked to be the kneejerk pre-wedding fire-sale of his cherished Mt White stud and 100-plus horses — the landscape was littered with emotional wreckage.

No winners, it seemed, were to be found.

Yet out of the dust there looks to be one who has had a small win.

Singo’s personal decorator Michelle Leslie has, we hear, been tasked with zhooshing up the $15.8 million Killcare Heights home he bought in the company name Ognis Pty Ltd (Singo backwards) in October 2023 with the view it would become the newlyweds’ love nest.

They’d been in it only a matter of weeks when they split.

We expect Leslie, who became a first-time mother to a baby daughter at the start of last year, will be putting Singo’s signature affluent white hunter style on the decor of the home, which is called Panamuna Pavilion and sits on 2.7 hectares.

Leslie, whose website features the properties she has styled (seemingly all of which belong to Singo), lives nearby on the Central Coast, so the commute to Killcare Heights won’t be much of a stretch.

The question now is whether Singleton is planning to keep or sell the property. Some predict the latter, as he has no attachment to it.

Meanwhile, Warry has added a new string to her bow, with the sales rep turning her hand to reading local news bulletins on Coast FM.
