A man has died in hospital after an assault in a Lurnea park

POLICE are searching for a man who fled the scene of a deadly assault in a park in Sydney’s southwest this afternoon.
An investigation is underway after a man died following an assault at Lurnea.
Emergency services were called to a park on Morison Drive and Hill Rd at Lurnea about 4.45pm, after reports two men were fighting.

When police arrived, they found a man seriously injured and commenced CPR.
NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and treated the man before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he died.
A crime scene was established by officers from Liverpool Police Area Command.
Inquiries are continuing and anyone with information is urged to come forward.
