‘Significant injuries’: Man attacked by croc near Adelaide River rushed to Royal Darwin Hospital

A man has been attacked by a crocodile near Adelaide River and rushed to Royal Darwin Hospital with ‘significant injuries’.

AN NT man who was attacked by a crocodile near Adelaide River has been sent to Darwin Royal Hospital with significant injuries to his feet.

A St John spokesman said a 28-year-old man was attended to by the Adelaide River Clinic, with amputated and partially amputated toes after being launched at by a crocodile Tuesday evening.

The spokesman said the man did not call triple-zero, instead choosing to contact the Adelaide River Clinic directly.

The patient was transported and met St John Ambulance crews around 7pm, who then transported him to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.

The 28-year-old was in a stable condition when he arrived at the hospital.

St John NT operations manager Craig Garraway told ABC Darwin reports were made of the incident around 6pm Tuesday.

“A croc’s got hold of his foot somewhere,” he said.
