NIGHTCLIFF Jetty has been partially reopened, allowing locals and visitors to enjoy a small portion of the jetty, following expert safety advice.

The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics has partially reopened the Nightcliff Jetty following the advice from a structural engineer and following minor works which have been carried out.

The structural engineer found the section of jetty is safe to open to the public in the short-term, while further long-term repair works are scheduled.

Long term works include further treatment to the jetty head to ensure its structural integrity, which will remain closed while these works are finalised according to engineering advice.

The Department is continuing to work with the structural engineer and a contractor to expedite works on the jetty, and will provide further updates when available.
