The committee’s first task will be to remediate the operational, financial, communications and social media embargo required by the Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade until a new committee was formed, before determining if any show-related events can go ahead this year.
The committee will reach out to stakeholders and sponsors to determine what support is needed to run the events.
The committee will also begin planning for the return of the show, with not enough time to host the annual event on the usual May 2 date, after it was also cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
