NRL legend Josh Addo-Carr to appear at Parrtjima on Sunday night
One of the biggest names in rugby league, Indigenous NRL player Josh Addo-Carr, will appear at Alice Springs’ Parrtjima – A Festival in Light on Sunday night.

INDIGENOUS NRL player Josh Addo-Carr will appear on night three of Parrtjima tonight in Alice Springs.
It follows appearances by Electric Fields, singer-songwriter Casey Donovan and writer Bruce Pascoe over the first two evenings of the Festival of Light, which has so far attracted more than 5000 visitors.
Addo-Carr, who plays for the Melbourne Storm, will also appear at an NRL NT clinic tomorrow to meet local rising stars of the game and will film scenes at Parrtjima to promote the NRL’s upcoming Indigenous round.

“This is such an opportunity to not only experience the spiritual Red Centre, but also connect with the local community through sport,” he said.
“I know how important sport is in small communities, and am looking forward to testing the skills of the up-and-coming Alice rugby league stars!”
NT Major Events chief executive Tim Watsford said filming for the upcoming Indigenous round would help also promote the Festival of Light to a wider audience.

“We continue to look for interesting ways to spread the word about Parrtjima, to bring maximum benefits to the Red Centre community, and the Fox Sports footage Josh is taking part in will see images of Parrtjima spread far and wide to a national TV audience,” he said.
“The theme of this year’s Parrtjima is Future Kultcha, and the addition of Josh to the program has helped connect a whole new demographic to the festival.”
