Alice Springs crime: Two teenage boys arrested following alleged assault on woman

May 14, 7am: Two teenage boys have been arrested following a brazen alleged robbery and assault on a woman in the middle of the day.

Police said they received reports a woman had been robbed while parked in her vehicle on Gregory Terrace about 12.30pm on Tuesday.

Two boys, aged 14 and 17, are alleged to have opened the car door and stole the woman’s wallet before pulling her from the vehicle, causing minor injuries to her leg.

Strike Force Viper and dog squads located and arrested the boys on Gap Rd later that day.

The two alleged offenders remain in custody with charges expected to follow.
