McKean who uploaded images of a receipt and of himself outside the eatery on Tuesday, also tagged Ms Kardashian in the Instagram stories.

“Took Kim K’s order at work today. Thx for the hefty tip @KimKardashian,” he wrote.

McKean also joked that the list of items purchased was the “Kimmy K diet starter pack”.

Kardashian supposedly purchased four $15 Caprese salads, two $19 arancini truffles, two $20 margherita pizzas and two $42 fish dishes among other items totalling her $576 bill.

“Just finished work and have copious amounts of Kimmy fans apparently. Here’s her bill,” he added next to a picture of the receipt.

Piccolo Cucina manager Jolene Aiello told the Courier Mail the staff member was “very excited to come close to such an amazing person” but clarified that they had no hard proof the order belonged to Kardashian.

Ms Aiello said her staff were told the takeaway order was believed to be from Kardashian’s staff as they prepared to fly the star back to the US on her private jet.

“There was a takeaway order placed from possibly her hostee,” Ms Aiello told the Courier Mail.

“She did tell him (the staff member) she was an air host from a flight leaving for the States.”

Kardashian was pictured exiting her private jet after touching down in Queensland on Saturday to visit her boyfriend on a four-day trip.

Davidson, an American comedian, has been based in Port Douglas as he films his upcoming movie Wizards! also starring Naomi Scott, Franz Rogowski and Sean Harrisand.

He took time off filming to enjoy his time with Kardashian before she flew back to the US in her private jet.

During her stay, Kardashian reportedly stayed at the Sheraton Mirage in Port Douglas – which is an hour away from Cairns, and travelled there on Tuesday just hours before boarding her private jet.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, sources close to the superstar celebrity said Kardashian went to great lengths to avoid media coverage of her Queensland trip.

“(Kardashian) didn’t want anyone knowing she was in Australia,” they said.

“She’s just here to spend time with Pete and has no plans on leaving the hotel. It’s a very low-key trip and she doesn’t want to be bothered.

“Kim is happy to say ‘hi’ to you if you bump into her, but she definitely doesn’t want to get her photograph taken on this trip.”

According to the source, the couple took measures to ensure their privacy.

Employees at the Sheraton Mirage were asked to sign NDA’s by the production company working at Mr Davidson’s new firm and when Ms Kardashian travelled out of Port Douglas, she supposedly used decoy cars to avoid being followed, and used a private staff exit to leave the hotel.

While Ms Aiello said they weren’t claiming to have served Ms Kardashian, she said the restaurant was “grateful for the support” of such a large order and the generous tip.

“I think our our staff member was was a bit excited that perhaps there was an opportunity for it to be (Ms Kardashia), whether it was her or not,” she added.

“I think the employee is a bit beside themselves actually, to have some information just explode on the internet and it’s an overwhelming, experience - they certainly never meant to do any harm to the business or to Kim Kardashian.”
