Several Riverina schools are leading the way for student enrolment in the past five years with new data showing how many extra pupils have flocked to the academic institutions.

The Riverina’s fastest growing schools - and the ones going backwards - have been revealed.
An analysis of federal government data has revealed every Riverina school’s student enrolment trajectory over the past five years - exposing where student numbers have risen and declined the most.
Verity Christian College in Griffith is Riverina’s fastest growing school, with enrolments increasing by 388 per cent in the five years from 2018 to 2022.
The second fastest growing school was Urana Public School in Urana with a 62 per cent change while Conargo Public School in Conargo recorded the third biggest change with a 57 per cent increase.
Meanwhile, the analysis also highlighted the Riverina region’s schools in decline with Beckom Public School in Beckom recording a 90 per cent drop over five years.
St Mary’s Parish School in Hay was the second school going backwards for enrolment with a 60 per cent drop and Tallimba Public School in Tallimba was the third with a 58 per cent decline.
The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority figures are the most up to date enrolment numbers that include all state and private schools nationally.

Urana Public School: 62 per cent
Conargo Public School: 57 per cent
Uranquinty Public School: 55 per cent
New Madinah College: 53 per cent
Wyalong Public School: 53 per cent
The Scots School Albury: 48 per cent
Binya Public School: 46 per cent
Yanco Public School: 40 per cent
The Riverina Anglican College: 38 per cent
Schools in decline 2018-2022:
Beckom Public School: 90 per cent
St Mary’s Parish School: 60 per cent
Tallimba Public School: 58 per cent
Blighty Public School: 56 per cent
Bribbaree Public School: 53 per cent
Nangus Public School: 52 per cent
Lowesdale Public School: 50 per cent
Stockinbingal Public School: 44 per cent
Booligal Public School: 43 per cent
St Patrick’s Primary School: 42 per cent
