The votes are in and the people have spoken; Behold the mightiest mullet in NSW, as chosen by our readers in the Mane of Origin 2022.

The pickings were ripe, the talent was superb and now the time has come to unveil the inaugural winner of 2022’s mane of origin, who has earnt the title of the mightiest mullet in NSW.

We let the people decide and after painstakingly counting the votes we can now reveal our worthy winner.

The Daily Telegraph is proud to announce the winner of our Mane of Origin competition, the mullet deemed to be mightiest in all of NSW.

Behold … 13-year-old Lincon … whose luscious gold crowning glory took out first place as voted by our readers.

The man behind the mane has been growing the style since 2018, intends to keep it forever, and told The Daily Telegraph it was inspired by the beloved comedy flick Joe Dirt.

Lincon wants to express his thanks to the people of NSW who made it all possible through their voting, as well as his competitors.

“I would like to thank everyone who took the time to vote for me.

“I am extremely stoked to take out the title and also I want to congratulate all the other people that entered and hope their mullet flaps in the wind for days to come,” he said.

Honourable mentions go to our runners up, who made it to the tight top three, we had 2-year-old Anthony in second place, followed by 10-year old Eli in third.

Having taken out the crown for NSW, Lincon will now go on to represent his state on a national level, with more details yet to come.
