No has ever accused Salim Mehajer of being a cheapskate and he sure dug deep to celebrate his wife’s birthday.
Auburn’s deposed deputy mayor threw the extravagant bash for Aysha’s 30th, posing up with a cake and rapper Tyga, who he flew in from the US specially.
There was just one thing missing from the occasion - Aysha herself.
There was certainly no shortage of glamorous women at the party, including many who looked like the millionaire’s wife of eight months.
Aiisha, Mehajer’s sister, who bears an uncanny resemblance to her sister-in-law, also appeared to grace the event in a long, sparkling black gown.
The party started at twilight with a $10,000 Harbour cruise aboard the MV Seven Star before revellers returned to the couple’s Lidcombe home, which had been decorated “club style”.
The Mehajers’ home — also the location of last August’s nuptials — was transformed with custom lighting and decorations.
The enormous garage was dressed to showcase a metallic blue motorcycle and accommodate a DJ who played into the night.
To one side, a smorgasbord of food spelled out the name of touring American rapper “Tyga” — the display eclipsing a smaller dessert in the shape of a football bearing the name “Aysha”.
Tyga made an appearance at 8pm, arriving in a hired Rolls-Royce with a security detail that took issue with the media presence outside the house.
Sources believe Mr Mehajer paid about $50,000 for the rapper to appear. Music promoter and entertainer DJ Willi confirmed he negotiated the appearance .
Earlier in the day Mehajer posted a photograph to his Facebook page of himself and wife Aysha, captioned: “Side by side, we stand together.”
Earlier this month, Mehajer took to Facebook to deny claims that his marriage had broken down.
Aysha had not been sighted for a while and her family was refusing to discuss her whereabouts or the state of their marriage.
