PSA: This makeup product is now an 'old-lady' thing
Yes, there's yet another item at the centre of the ongoing Gen-Z/millennial divide.

Millennials, brace yourselves for yet another attack on something you hold dear to you because apparently, we're on the brink of having our beloved eyeshadow cancelled at the hands of Gen Z.
Yep, your brown smoky eye that took you 15 minutes to do before a night out is allegedly cancelled, as is that silver shimmery stuff you spread on with your fingers as you rush out the door to the office.
The youth have spoken — bare lids are in, and powdery pigments are out, and not abiding by these laws could render you, God forbid, OLD!
*gasps*

The 'old lady' makeup
I found out this rather rude piece of information thanks to a TikTok video where influencer and mum Jennifer Latch says her daughter "just told me that eyeshadow is a Gen X and millennial thing, aka an old-lady thing."
Her daughter, who looks like a tween, giggles in the background as her mum asks her followers, "Is that true? Is my eyeshadow out?"

"I think it's here to stay always and forever"
Cue the collective uproar in the comments and hundreds of people reassuring her that, no, wearing eyeshadow doesn't, in fact, make you old (note: these comments mostly came from millennials, so take that how you will).
"No, eyeshadow isn't out. People just use less colours and do more simple looks but they do wear eyeshadow," wrote one.
"You'll have to pry eyeshadow out of my cold dead hands," joked another.
"Lol. It's not an old lady thing, it's just currently not on trend," said a third.
And someone else made the point: "Even if it's out, it will be back in."
