Donald Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, might be powerful, beautiful and wealthy but there’s one reality she can’t escape.

Donald Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, is trying to live her best influencer life, and politics is frankly getting in the way.

The glam 43-year-old has over eight million followers on Instagram, but her efforts to showcase her aspirational lifestyle are being thwarted by politics.

On paper Ivanka has all the trimmings of an influencer lifestyle. She’s from a wealthy family, objectively very pretty and friends with Kim Kardashian.

Could she throw in a few more selfies of her drinking meal replacement shakes to seal the deal? Sure, but what influencer couldn’t.

The 43-year-old who was once a senior political adviser to her father has stepped away from politics and is really leaning into social media life.

Ivanka shares photos of herself going to black-tie events, on international holidays, and wearing designer clothes, and she uses words like “gratitude” and “unforgettable” a lot.

The kind of words people never say out loud in conversations, but influencers love to write in captions.

The 43-year-old has even cottoned onto the fact that photo dumps are all the rage now, and when she posts photos of her family, she doesn’t make any reference to politics or policies.

She’s nailing the whole influencer thing, but this pesky thing called politics is undermining all her efforts.

The woman can’t even post a hot gym selfie without someone bringing up the Ukrainian president.

All her top-tier influencer efforts are wasted on a political audience who’d rather feud about world events than compliment her outfit.

Ivanka’s Instagram is comical, not because it isn’t beautifully curated, I wouldn’t dare suggest such a thing, she poses almost exclusively with only one hand on her hip, she knows what’s doing.

What makes her Instagram amusing is that the comments she gets on the bulk of her photos are drastically unrelated to what she’s posting about.

The last thing she posted on Instagram was her thanks to designer Oscar de la Renta for “the exquisite navy blue tweed suit” she’d been gifted, but her audience really missed the point.

The 43-year-old goes through all the trouble of finding the right filter and tilting her head to make sure her gorgeous pearl earrings get into the photo for nothing!

People would rather angrily debate the pros and cons of tariffs than discuss luxury fashion.

Similarly, she posted a gorgeous photo of herself on a hotel balcony in Paris, with views of the Eiffel Tower in the background.

If a regular influencer posted that, their audience would eat that up like a tradie chugging on an iced coffee Dare.

Instead of getting complimented on how her skin shone in the Paris moonlight someone asked if she was “ashamed” of her father.

She’s gone to the effort of getting someone to take a photo of her while dramatically staring off the into distance! And yet again everyone’s banging on about politics.

Four weeks ago, she posted a gym selfie, showing off her abs, and rolling out a classic influencer topic, New Year’s Resolutions.

She shared she was trying to stick to her resolution and “show-up and stay committed”. If there’s one thing that usually gets people focused it is a woman referencing her weight.

She’d really pulled out the big guns here!

Yet instead of the post just being inundated with compliments on her body or fitness efforts it became political again.

Someone commented and called the post “tone deaf” and claimed she was on the “wrong side of history” not even gym selfies are sacred in these politically charged times.

Poor Ivanka, people really aren’t picking up on what she’s putting down and no amount of head tilting or gym selfies seems to help.
