Sex offender and former reality TV star Stephen Bear has returned to social media a year after being released from prison, boasting about his freedom in a video alongside his teenage girlfriend.

The disgraced Celebrity Big Brother winner was found guilty in December 2022 of two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress, and two counts of voyeurism, after he leaked footage of himself and ex-partner Georgia Harrison having sex.

Bear was released from prison in south London last January after serving just 11 months behind bars.

“Life’s good. I thought I’d come on here guys and say I love you all, simple as that,” he said in the clip, which was shared to his Instagram and showed him on a beach in South America.

“I love you all. Stay true, because this year I’m fully active, I’m off licence.

“The police, they could still be after me, but I’m in Brazil. They can’t catch me now. Catch me if you can.”

The 35-year-old was initially sentenced to 21 months in prison for uploading the footage of himself and Harrison on adult content platform OnlyFans. While Harrison, who waived her right to anonymity for the trial, testified that the sex was consensual, she was not aware she was being filmed.

He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register and is subject to notification requirements for 10 years.

Bear denied all charges during the trial.

“I’m just chilling out, licence is finished, police is finished,” he continued.

“I can be completely left alone, ready to enjoy my life now. All my conditions are just lifted.

“Now I can post on social media, that was the main condition, watch this space.”

He then panned the camera to a bikini-clad woman who he introduced as his “18-year-old Latina girlfriend”.

“Say hello baby. We just chilling, I got eight music videos to shoot while I’m in Brazil,” Bear said.

“Thinking of looking at some property while I’m over here.

“As they say in Brazil, te amo, ciao. That means I love you, goodbye.”

Last year, Harrison – who has spoken extensively about her experience – told The Sun that she didn’t “really have much fear or any concerns about his release from prison”.

“You know, his life journey now is his life journey, and that’s for him to figure out if he can rehabilitate himself,” she said.

“I have a restraining order on him, so I don’t feel that he’ll be saying anything about me that’s going to affect me.

“And for me, this is just the next stage of my life to move on to better and bigger things.”

The intimate recording Bear shared of himself and Harrison was six minutes long – though the actual footage ran for 20 minutes, she said in a March 2023 interview with the BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg program.

That people were seeking out and “viewing the whole thing” made the situation “a lot harder” for her to cope with, Harrison said.

“I was living in fear that he was going to sell more (footage),” she said.

Going to court, while tough, was also “empowering”.

“I just felt like it was the only option. I’d been pushed so far, and before I actually saw the video had gone viral on the internet, I’d had multiple men telling me they’d had it shown to them.”
