"Someone was sick in my bed and a lot of sh*t was stolen," almost says it all - but not quite.

One may think that kids become more trustworthy as they grow up... but that's a rookie mistake.

Children are troublemakers well into their teens (and in my case, into their 40s, just ask my mum).

One "pissed off parent" discovered this the hard way when she entrusted her home to her teenage daughter on a weekend away.

And her online rant about it is a cautionary tale for us all.

"My house is f**king destroyed"

"This is a pissed off parent rant of child who had a house party while we were away," mum @girlwiththelist begins in a TikTok that's been viewed almost one million times in 24 hours.

She explains her teen daughter had planned on having a girls' sleepover, but then "boys turned up and now my house is f**king destroyed."

She tells her 300k followers that in scenes reminiscent of teen flick "Project X", what she encountered when they came home was much worse.

"I have found burn marks where they have gone around with a lighter and a can of deodorant.

"They put bubbles in the hot tub. I have found phones, knives, partially cooked eggs - they egged my house.

"They set of a fire extinguisher in my home."

But worst damage was only discovered when the mum watched videos recorded on the discarded phones.

"Someone was sick in my bed. And on top of that, they've stolen a lot of our shit."

The mum adds that her daughter has taken full responsibility, but that she felt "violated" that her home had been destroyed in this way.

"I went to get underpants this morning, and my drawers have been rummaged through."

"They are not her friends"

Viewers expressed their disgust in the comments section.

"I hope the daughter learns from this that those people ARE NOT her friends if they can disrespect her home. Hard lesson to learn," one wrote.

"Same happened to me as a teen, four friends were invited. Movies music drinks and snacks. 90+ in a two-bed bungalow," shared another.

There was a lot of empathy for the mum, with people trying hard to avoid blaming her parenting directly. But of course, there were some who did, with this person writing, "Sort your daughter out, it's 100% on you and her."

Finally, this person shared some wisdom from their father: "My dad always said 'house parties are okay as long as they ain't in my house'."
