Meet the glam squad behind the Duchess of Cambridge

THE Duchess of Cambridge stepped out of hospital looking cool and glamorous just hours after giving birth. Meet the “glam team” that perfected her look.

A royal baby boy is born

CATHERINE, Duchess of Cambridge always looks preened to perfection — even after giving birth.

The constantly camera-ready Kate stepped out in a stunning red frock by favourite designer Jenny Packman looking cool, calm and completely glamorous as the world’s media snapped that first photograph of her newborn son on the steps of the Lindo Wing.

Just as she did with Prince George in 2013 and Princess Charlotte in 2015, Kate appeared both stylish and immaculate after giving birth just hours earlier to her third child.

Wearing a beautiful Jenny Packham red dress that featured a Peter Pan collar and classic nude court shoes by Gianvito Rossi, the Duchess of Cambridge looked flawless with her hair blow-dried to perfection. So just how does she look this good?

Here’s the lowdown on Kate’s “glam squad” and how they get her photo-ready just hours after giving birth.

HAIR

Kate is known for her enviable, perfectly blow-dried locks — and post-labour was no different.

Hair stylist Amanda Cook Tucker arrived at around 1pm — five hours before the new mum appeared with Charlotte.

This timing means that Amanda was one of the first non-royals to meet baby number three.

She is reportedly paid around $550 plus travel expenses for her services.

It has also been reported that it takes an array of tools and products to get Kate’s ’do picture perfect — 13 brushes, seven combs, two hairdryers, three curling tongs and an impressive collection of sprays, to be precise.

Amanda has been working for the royals since Harry and William were boys, and has been styling Kate’s hair since 2012. Her first job was to accompany her on the Diamond Jubilee tour of South-East Asia.

Amanda trims the ends of the Duchess of Cambridge’s hair every six to eight weeks in the comfort of her Kensington Palace home.

When Prince George was born in 2013, she styled Kate’s hair to make sure she looked the part for their photo on the hospital steps.

She was the second person to visit the newborn prince and was even introduced to him ahead of grandparents Carole and Michael Middleton.

Amanda also made Kate’s hair look photo-ready following the birth of Princess Charlotte in 2015.

MAKE-UP

While Kate has often had her make-up done by Arabelle Preston for big events, she is also know to do her own make-up — she even went it alone on her wedding day.

When she gave birth to Charlotte, it has been reported that Kate used Bobbi Brown’s $51 eye cream, a $42 concealer and $28 eyebrow powder.

Her nails were painted in a natural shade — probably using her favourite mixture of Essie’s Allure $18 polish and Bourjois’ So Laque $11.

It is also said she used a $27.50 lip liner and $33 blush pink lippie — both purchased from Peter Jones in Chelsea.

CLOTHES

When it comes to fashion, Kate rarely gets it wrong and she has looked effortlessly stylish after both of her previous births.

This is likely down to Natasha Archer — Kate’s personal assistant turned stylist — who is a secret style weapon when it comes to Kate’s iconic looks.

Tash, as the palace calls her, has never officially been confirmed in her role, but it is likely she has helped the Duchess with many style choices.

Ms Archer was spotted leaving the Lindo Wing just an hour before the royal welcomed her little boy.

She is married to Getty Images’ official royal photographer Chris Jackson, and helps the Duchess plan her outfits for official tours and overseas engagements.
